Cambodian Curriculum

At GGAS, we comply with the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport Curriculum.
Golden Gate American School also offers full Cambodian Curriculum from Kindergarten to High School Diploma. Our Khmer teachers are qualified, experienced, and licensed teachers from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport.
Kindergarten
In our Cambodian Kindergarten Program, children aged 5 can enroll without the need for a placement test. In this program, preschoolers will learn to identify and trace Khmer consonants and vowels, as well as distinguish, identify, and trace Khmer numbers from 0 to 40. By the end of kindergarten, students will be able to recognize, name, and trace consonants, vowels, and numbers, and begin forming and writing words, phrases, and short sentences. Additionally, we emphasize the education of morals, hygiene, and physical fitness, ensuring a well-rounded development for our young learners.Cambodian Primary Program
Golden Gate American School also offers Cambodian primary school program with small class sizes and individual attention. All classes are taught in Khmer using a standardized Cambodian curriculum by qualified teachers from public schools. Students aged 6 years old can directly enroll in this program in grade 1.
Cambodian Middle and High School Programs
Golden Gate American School offers an optional Cambodian Middle and High School program based on the national Cambodian curriculum. Students can choose to pursue this program alongside our other educational offerings. All classes are conducted in Khmer. Students in this program will be prepared to take the national exams and earn the Khmer diploma. The diploma is certified and issued by the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport.
